Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. This is the ONLY example graded at this level by PSA with none higher! Beautiful example of Hall of Fame pitcher Walter Johnson from the E220 National Caramel series. The E220 set is sometimes confused with the American Caramel issues of the early 1920s, but the advertisement for "National Caramel" on the reverse easily identifies the series. E220s are much rarer than most other similarly designed sets of the era (such as E121), and for some reason are rarely seen in anything approaching high grade. The offered card exhibits superb image clarity and even corner wear. The text on the reverse is bold and crisp. An outstanding opportunity to acquire a Hall of Fame type card from this early 1920s caramel issue.
