Description

This is a modestly graded example of one of Ruth's truly great early 1920s cards. 1921 was the very first year the legendary Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago issued cards. It would go on to issue sets for the next fifty years. These cards were sold by card machines at amusement parks and penny arcades, one penny per card. This is the key card from the set and one of Ruth's earliest cards featuring him with the Yankees. Graded GOOD+ 2.5 by SGC due to several condition flaws including moderate creasing, even corner wear, and soiling front and back. Despite these flaws this is a pleasing example of one of Babe Ruth’s most classic cards.
