This is an extremely attractive mid- to high-grade near-complete set of the classic 1956 Topps issue consisting of 301 different cards (out of 340 in the set). Missing the following thirty-nine cards for completion: #8, 15 Banks, 21, 33 Clemente, 42, 57, 63, 73, 79 Koufax, 125, 135 Mantle, 140, 153, 170, 226, 245, 254, 257, 261, 263, 275, 280, 284, 291, 295, 297, 299, 302, 307, 315-318, 325, 326, 332 Larsen, 333, 338 and 340. Issued in the heart of the 1950s, this near set is highlighted by nearly all of the key cards to the set, including Ted Williams, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, and Willie Mays. Condition is 38% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt (including a few Nr/Mt-Mt), 54% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 8% Gd to Vg. We have selected seven cards for grading and encapsulation by PSA.
