Presented is a very sharp-looking mid- to high-grade near-complete set of one of the era's most popular issues, consisting of 584 different cards (out of 587 in the set). Missing just #415 Aaron, 463 Fisher, and 545 for completion. The 1961 Topps set includes five different Mickey Mantle cards and was Topps' first venture into the popular League Leader subset. The Most Valuable Player subset, an extremely difficult high-number run, and the rookie cards of Juan Marichal, Billy Williams, and Ron Santo also highlight this set. Condition is 12% Nr/Mt or better, 70% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 18% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a few lesser and a few miscut). Thirty-two cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA (20) and SGC (12).
