Graded MINT 9 by PSA. This is the only example graded at this level by PSA with none higher! Stunning high-grade example of Cleveland Indians Hall of Famer Tris Speaker from the W514 strip-card series. The W514 set is the largest and most widely collected of the various strip-card issues of the era. Speaker is one of the key Hall of Famers in the W514 set and is almost never seen in such extraordinarily high grade. Strip cards are by definition hand-cut, as intended. The ever so slightly irregular cuts characteristic to the issue, which many times affect a small portion of the cutting guidelines, often do not qualify cards for a numerical grade from the professional grading companies. The offered example is a rare exception, with a clean and accurate cut on all sides. It has bold colors, a crisp image, and sharp corners. Clean black reverse. A tremendous example worthy of any world-class W514 or Tris Speaker collection.
