Description

Graded FAIR 20 by SGC. Modestly graded example of Ten Million from the 1911 T212 Obak series. Obaks, which were issued in three sets between 1909 and 1911, are among the most popular of all early card issues featuring players from the Pacific Coast League as well as members of the Northwestern League as part of the final two sets. Despite an underwhelming career as a player, Ten Million has emerged as a key card within the 1911 T212 Obak set as a result of his extremely unusual name. This really is his name: Million's family wanted his name to stand out and accomplished this by naming him "Ten." (Interesting footnote: Ten Million's daughter was named Decillian!) This example has vibrant colors, a crisp image, and impressive centering.. Clean and boldly printed reverse. A clipped upper-right corner and heavy creasing account for the modest assigned grade. One of the most interesting baseball cards ever issued.
