Graded EX 5 by SGC. 1889 N172 Old Judge rookie card of Hall of Famer Pud Galvin (Pose #177-4). Galvin retired as one of baseball's all-time pitching leaders in wins (sixth), losses (second), complete games (639, second), innings pitched (second), and shutouts (57, tied for tenth). He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1965. This is an extremely attractive card with outstanding picture quality and contrast, light corner wear, and a diamond cut along the left edge. The blank reverse is clean with very faint toning visible. This is a tremendous example of one of Galvin's most impressive cards and would make a worthy addition to an N172 Old Judge or 19th-century classic-card collection.
