Lot # 384: Circa 1914 Honest Long Cut Tobacco Unopened Pack

Presented is an outstanding, original Honest Long Cut Tobacco pack (Factory 60, 2nd Dist. NY). The pack presents as Excellent or better overall, with all the original printing intact and bold. It has never been opened, and the tax stamp has an overprint date of "May 1914." Honest Tobacco was manufactured by W. Duke & Sons, and several baseball and nonsport issues were distributed in these packs during this time, including the 1911 T205 Gold Border and 1912 T227 "Series of Champions" issues. This is a very attractive companion piece worthy of a collection of T205 or T227 Honest Long Cut cards or tobacco-related ephemera.
