Lot # 510: 1914 E145 Cracker Jack #73 Max Carey SGC NM 84

Graded NM 84 by SGC. This is the only example graded at this level by SGC with just two higher. Tremendous high-grade 1914 E145 Cracker Jack card featuring Hall of Famer Max Carey. The 1914 Cracker Jacks, of course, are far rarer to find in high grade than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 #144 series cards were issued only in boxes of Cracker Jack, while complete sets of 1915 cards could be ordered from the factory. Bright and crisp, with bold colors, four strong corners, and very light caramel stains on the front and back, but far less than normally encountered with #144 series cards. This is a superb high-grade example from this classic set that would make an outstanding addition to any high-quality 1914 Cracker Jack set, Hall of Fame, or prewar-card collection.
