Lot # 506: 1914 E145 Cracker Jack #18 Johnny Evers SGC NM 7

Graded NM 7 by SGC. This is the only example graded at this level by SGC with only two higher. Very attractive high-grade example of Hall of Famer Johnny Evers from the 1914 Cracker Jack #144 series. This card is bright and clean with a bold red background, four strong corners displaying light wear, and superb centering. The front and back are virtually free of any caramel staining, which is unheard of for #144 series cards. The 1914 Cracker Jacks, of course, are far rarer to find in high grade than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 #144 series cards were only issued in boxes of Cracker Jack. It is rare to find any #144 series Cracker Jack in high grade, let alone such a clean and attractive example of Hall of Famer Johnny Evers.
