Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Mid-grade example of this classic Gehrig card, one of the most popular of all his cards and all 1930s bubble-gum cards. The 1934 Goudey "Lou Gehrig says..." series features an additional Gehrig portrait on the front, and words by him on the reverse (in the case of this card, an invitation to join Goudey's Knot Hole League of America club and to personally write him with questions about the game, which no doubt kept Christy Walsh or someone at Goudey very busy). This card has bold colors, a crisp image, honest corner wear, and centering toward the right. Boldly printed reverse. A solid mid-grade example of one of Gehrig's most desirable cards.
