Rarely offered example of an M101-2 Sporting News supplement featuring the 1910 World Series Champion Philadelphia Athletics. This sepia-tone premium set was issued with the Sporting News between the years 1909 and 1913. Each premium was issued on only a single day (November 24, 1910, in this case) and is dated in the upper right or left. Their method of issue and the thin paper stock on which they are printed make these unusual and striking premiums particularly susceptible to damage. This example has a flawless image of the Athletics in a classic team pose. Good condition due to a vertical fold line down the center and a few creases. Total dimensions: 16 x 10 inches.
