Graded NM 7 by PSA. Beautiful high-grade example of 1940 Play Ball #27 Ted Williams. The card displays a bold image, strong corners, and outstanding centering. Williams' biography on the back of this card was nothing less than effusive about his prospects for future greatness. The text details his amazing rookie feats the previous season, which included batting .327, collecting 31 home runs, scoring 131 runs with 185 hits and being the first rookie ever to lead the Majors in RBI, with 145. This is a very attractive high-grade example of one of Ted Williams’ classic cards, dating from his second year in the Major Leagues.
