Very attractive complete set of 1958 Topps consisting of 494 different cards plus 15 yellow-letter variations, two inserts, and two duplicates. The classic 1958 Topps set features all the great stars of the era, in many cases more than once, since so many stars are replicated on special multiplayer cards or in the All-Star series (#476-494). Includes two signed cards (#313 Bob Rush and 439 Ray Narleski). Condition is 37% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a few Nr/Mt), 58% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 5% lesser (including a couple with a slight trim). Thirty cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA (17) and SGC (13). For #57 Thompson, only the two yellow-letter variations are included; for the others, both variations are present. Very impressive, mostly mid-grade complete set of this classic 1950s issue that is highlighted by so many Hall of Famers. The equivalent SMR value for 20 graded cards (not including the 10 cards graded lower than EX 5 and factoring in the two half-grades at the lower whole-grade level) is $3,630.
