Presented is a collection of three 1946 New York Baseball Writers' 23rd Annual Dinner itineraries (designed as a fold-over scorecard), each signed on the front cover by a number of different notables, highlighted by 20 baseball Hall of Famers, including Babe Ruth, Mel Ott, Frank Frisch, and Hank Greenberg. The signatures are all penned on the front covers in either blue or black ink. 1) First example has 18 signatures including Babe Ruth, Mel Ott, Hank Greenberg, Happy Chandler, Ford Frick, Joe McCarthy, Will Harridge, Red Rolfe, Ken Strong (football Hall of Famer), Jim Peterson, Jack Smith, Dan Daniel (sportswriter), and James A. Farley (US postmaster general). 2) Second example has four signatures (personalized "To Tim/from"): Mel Ott, Frank Frisch, Will Harridge, and Bill Veeck. 3) Third example has six signatures (personalized "To John/From"): Frank Frisch, Will Harridge, Bill Veeck, Steve O'Neill, James A. Farley (US postmaster general), and one we could not identify. Also included is an unsigned 1940 New York Baseball Writers' 17th Annual Dinner itinerary.
