Lot # 72: Circa 1947 Bond Bread Jackie Robinson Bat Follow, White Sleeves PSA GOOD 2

Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. Very appealing and recently graded example of Jackie Robinson (batting, white sleeves pose) from the circa 1947 Bond Bread set. The 13-card set is devoted entirely to Jackie Robinson and features the Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer in various black-and-white poses on glossy card stock. The offered card is bright and crisp with light corner wear (weaker top left). The back — which bears Robinson's facsimile signature and the tagline "Folks, why not eat the bread that Jackie eats?" — is boldly printed. The circa 1947 Bond Bread issue is a historic set, dating from Jackie Robinson's earliest days in the major leagues, and individual cards from this classic issue will always be extremely desirable.
