Lot # 2893: Tris Speaker Single-Signed Baseball - JSA

Official American League baseball (Johnson) signed by Hall of Fame outfielder Tris Speaker in blue fountain pen across the sweet spot. Speaker was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937, and he died in 1958, long before collecting Hall of Famers on single-signed baseballs became widely recognized as the ideal standard. For that reason Speaker single-signed balls are particularly scarce. The ball has moderate soiling and heavy abrasions. In Fair condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
