Substantial and rarely offered collection of 121 scarce charms featuring all the popular comic strip characters of the day, issued during an era in which comic characters had an even higher profile in popular culture than today. These small-size (5/8 x 1 inch) plastic charms were sold in vending machines and were issued in several different shapes and colors. All the charms in this collection are the octagonal-shaped design. The collection consists of charms in eight different colors, including blue, green, red, pink, white, and yellow. This is a substantial collection of these unusual novelty items. Total: 121 charms.
