Description

Presented is a very attractive complete set of fifty 1955 Red Man tobacco cards (all with tabs), entirely graded and encapsulated by PSA. This was the last of the four Red Man sets issued from 1952 to 1955. Red Man Tobacco cards are among the most beautiful cards ever issued. The set's overall GPA of 6.52 ranks it seventh on the PSA Set Registry out of thirty-two sets registered to date. PSA Grading Composite: NM-MT 8 (8 cards): #4N, 6A, 6N, 9N, 17A, 17N Reese, 20N, and 21A. NM 7 (18 cards): #2N, 3A Ford, 3N Hodges, 9A, 10A, 11A, 14A Wynn, 14N, 15A, 18A Doby, 18N Schoendienst, 19A, 20A, 21N, 23A, 23N, 24A Minoso, and 25N. EX-MT 6 (20 cards): #1A, 2A, 4A Fox, 5A, 7N Mays, 8A Lemon, 8N, 10N Spahn, 12A, 13A, 12N Wilhelm, 13N, 15N, 16A Berra, 16N Kluszewski, 19N Snider, 22A, 22N, 24N, and 25A. EX+ 5.5 (1 card): #5N. EX 5 (2 cards): #1N Ashburn and 11N. VG-EX 4 (1 card): #7A. Very attractive, mostly high-grade set of this popular issue, all complete with tabs. Red Man Tobacco cards are far rarer than most 1950s baseball cards. Because of their tabs (which were designed to be cut) and method of issue, they often have condition problems. Many consider them to represent one of the best values of all cards from the era. Total: 50 cards. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
