Graded VG 3 by PSA. Very attractive mid-grade example of this classic New York Giants Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson card from the 1915 Cracker Jack series. This is one of Mathewson’s most striking and popular cards. 1915 Cracker Jacks will always be one of the most highly prized and widely collected of all prewar sets. Mathewson is one of the key cards in the set, along with Cobb, Jackson, Johnson, and Wagner. This example has a bold red background, excellent registration, moderate corner wear, and a small crease in the upper right. Lightly soiled front and back. This is a strong mid-grade 1915 Cracker Jack example of Christy Mathewson, one of baseball's greatest legends, in an extremely desirable grade, from one of collecting's most classic and popular sets.
