Description

Rare cabinet card picturing Jim Manning as a member of the Detroit Wolverines. The photograph, taken in a formal studio setting, captures Manning in a portrait pose. Manning's name, position, and team affiliation ("J. Manning Left Field - Detroit Base Ball Club") are printed on the base of the mount, as is the name of the photographer, "Tomlinson - 236 Woodward Ave., Detroit." The photo, which displays extraordinary clarity, has a small tear at the top and light soiling. The mount (4.25 x 6.5 inches) has light soiling, moderate corner wear, a small tear at the top, a crease in the lower right corner, and pencil/ink notations on the reverse. In Poor condition.
