Collection of ninety-seven regionally issued Pacific Coast League cards spanning the years 1946 to 1950, including a near-complete and two complete sets. For PCL collectors, these Remar Bread sets are among the great classics of the era. Each set features players from the Oakland Oaks. These sets naturally have many PCL stars, but also include some MLB stars and Hall of Famers who also made their mark in the PCL, including Billy Martin, Billy Herman, and George Kelly. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1946 Remar Bread Oakland Oaks (1 card): #22 Palica (Vg). 2) 1947 Remar Bread Oakland Oaks (7 cards): five Ex, Vg-Ex, and Vg. Includes the following: #14, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, and 24. 3) 1947 Smith's Oakland Oaks (1 card): #4 Holder (Vg). 4) 1949 Remar Bread Oakland Oaks Complete Set (32) Plus One Duplicate: 49% Ex to Ex-Mt and 51% Vg to Vg-Ex (including one lesser do to pencil on the reverse. Keys: Two Dressen (PSA NM 7 and Vg), Jensen (Vg-Ex+), Kelly (Vg, HOF), Martin (Vg-Ex), Wilson (Vg+), and Woods (Vg). 5) 1949 Remar Bread Oakland Oaks Complete Set (32): 84% Vg to Vg-Ex (two Ex) and 16% lesser (including one that measures small). Keys: Dressen (Vg-Ex+), Jensen (15/85 L/R, otherwise Ex), Kelly (Fr, HOF), Martin (Vg-Ex), Wilson (Fr), and Woods (Vg). 6) 1950 Remar Berad Oakland Oaks Near-Complete Set (23/27): 56% Ex to Ex-Mt (mostly Ex) and 44% Vg to Vg-Ex (including two lesser). Keys: Herman (Vg, HOF), Kelly (Vg-Ex, HOF), and Wilson (Ex). Missing the following four cards for completion: Dressen, Duezabou, Gassaway, and Nelson.
