1910 PC796 Sepia postcard of Ty Cobb, encapsulated "Authentic" by SGC. This is a very impressive example of one of Ty Cobb's most striking and attractive cards, from the very rare and highly regarded PC796 Sepia postcard set, issued in 1910. It is interesting to note that the image of Cobb used on this card is the same image used on the PC805 Novelty Cutlery postcard series. This has always been one of our favorite Ty Cobb cards. Never mailed. No writing on the postcard reverse. Just a hint of corner wear and no major creases. Cobb's striking image is centered slightly towards the top left. This card has been trimmed (along the top border) and therefore SGC encapsulated it as "Authentic" instead of assigning it a numerical grade. It is crisp and clean and otherwise in Excellent condition. This is an extremely attractive and yet still relatively affordable example of one of the most visually impressive and rarest of all Ty Cobb cards from the 1910 era. Dimensions: 3.5 x 5.5 inches.
