Description

Presented is a 64-card complete set of one of the most popular and elusive of all 1950s nonsport gum-card issues, Bowman's "Firefighters." Condition is 6% Ex to Ex-Mt, 74% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 20% Gd (including 6% lesser). The set features incredible multi-color artwork illustrations of fire engines, fire boats, and rescue trucks. The back of each card in the set has a fire prevention tip (e.g., "Don't Play with Matches") printed above the equipment descriptions, which qualifies the set as the first "safety" trading card set ever produced. Total: 64 cards. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
