Offered is a rare and very interesting collection of 89 (of 87 different) photographs featuring players from teams of the National Football League, all used in the production of the 1962 Post Cereal football cards. These photos were used as components of the art boards that were created during the production process. Each color-photo measures approximately 4 x 4.75 inches and has the player's name and team affiliation written on either the front or back. This collection consists of photographs from the following NFL teams: Baltimore Colts (12, including two Berry, Donovan, Marchetti, Moore, and Parker), Chicago Bears (4, including Ditka and B. George), Cleveland Browns (5, including McCormack), Dallas Cowboys (7, including Lilly and Meredith), Detroit Lions (7, including Karras), Green Bay Packers (1 Hornung), Los Angeles Rams (3), Minnesota Vikings (10, including McElhenny and Tarkenton), New York Giants (10, including R. Brown, R. Grier, Huff, Robustelli, and Rote), Philadelphia Eagles (6, including Jurgenson and McDonald), Pittsburgh Steelers (12, including John Henry Johnson), San Francisco 49ers (2, including Jimmy Johnson), St. Louis Cardinals (4), and Washington Redskins (6). The photos remain in Very Good condition overall. This is an outstanding and unique collection that offers great insight into the production process for Post Cereal football cards. It would be a significant addition to any original card-artwork or card-production collection. Total: 89 photos.
