Graded NM+ 7.5 by SGC. Rarely offered example of Hall of Famer Willie Mays of the San Francisco Giants from the 1958 Hires Root Beer set with the original tab attached to the bottom. Hires Root Beer cards were designed to be issued one card per six-pack of Hires Root Beer. Mays is one of the key Hall of Famers featured in the 66-card set. This card is bright, crisp, and clean, with a flawless image, strong corners, and a clean reverse. This is an outstanding example of this striking and unusual Mays card from this extremely popular 1950s regional issue, integral to the completion of any Mays card master set.
