Description

Part of the legend of Joe Jackson is that he was illiterate and could not even sign his name. In fact, Jackson could sign, but he was very reluctant to do so and rarely signed except when absolutely necessary, usually on legal documents. This did not stop autograph seekers from requesting Jackson's signature, and when these occasional requests came in, they were honored by Mrs. Jackson, who would sign Joe's name for him. Offered is a "Joe Jackson" signature by Mrs. Jackson, scripted in blue ink on a newspaper photo of Joe. The date "7-26-51" is penned in Mrs. Jackson's hand below her signature. The newspaper photo (4 x 6.25 inches) displays a horizontal fold and is in Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
