Description

Promissory note, dated August 15, 1929, signed in black ink by Hall of Fame outfielder Harry Heilmann. The note, issued through Union State Bank of Fordson, Michigan, stipulates that Heilmann agreed to repay R.H. Finnerer $150 by September 14, 1929, at a rate of 6% interest per year. The note (9 x 3.5 inches) displays a vertical fold (there is a small split at the bottom), scattered creasing, and patches of staining. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
