Rarely offered example of legendary "Shoeless Joe" Jackson from the 1920-1921 W514 strip-card set. This is Jackson's only strip-card appearance and is all the more noteworthy as it was issued at the height of the media's attention to the 1919 World Series scandal. The W514 set is the largest and most widely collected of the various strip-card issues of the era. The card is blank-backed and measures 1-3/8 x 2-1/2 inches. Jackson is featured in a portrait pose. Encapsulated as Authentic by PSA due to an irregular hand cut. This is still a very attractive example of one of the few cards featuring the legendary Joe Jackson dating from his playing days.
