Description

Offered is one of the most unusual and rarest items related to the regionally issued Spic and Span Milwaukee Braves set dating from the 1950s. This paper clothing bag, issued by Spic and Span Dry Cleaners of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, promotes all twelve Braves players featured in the companies' 1954 card series, including Warren Spahn. This is the first example we have ever offered of this fascinating 1950s baseball-card advertisement! This item is technically in Poor condition due to creasing, a number of tears, large pieces missing, and stains. The important central image area of the players and printed lettering remains intact. This advertisement (23 x 28.5 inches) promoting the then just-released 1954 Spic and Span Braves set is ideal for display. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
