Lot # 1778: Enormous High-Grade 1980 to 1990 Topps, Donruss, Fleer, and Others Hall of Fame and Star Collection (26,000+ Cards)

Presented is an incredibly extensive collection of more than 26,000 baseball cards dating from 1980 to 1992 (including a small percentage from later in the 1990s), composed of exclusively Hall of Fame and star cards. Nearly every notable player from this era is included, with the highest representation (hundreds of each player) from all-time greats Nolan Ryan, Cal Ripken Jr., Pete Rose, and Mike Schmidt. Also included are numerous examples of Wade Boggs, George Brett, Roger Clemens, Tony Gwynn, Rickey Henderson, Reggie Jackson, Don Mattingly, Eddie Murray, Ryne Sandberg, Tom Seaver, Ozzie Smith, and many others. For the sake of complete accuracy, while every player in this collection had a distinguished career of some fashion, approximately 20% of this collection falls closer to the "common" designation than "star." Mainstream Donruss, Fleer, and Topps sets form the bulk of this collection, with Leaf, O-Pee-Chee, Score, Sportflics, and Upper Deck also represented. The condition of the collection as a whole is 78% ranging from Nr/Mt to Mint (averaging Nr/Mt-Mt) and 22% Ex to Ex-Mt (mostly due to centering and including a very small percentage lesser). The 1980-1985 cards grade a bit lower overall than those from 1986-1992. The following is a small sampling of the key cards:
