Outstanding complete set of 1971-1972 Topps basketball cards, consisting of 233 different cards. The 1971-1972 Topps set is very popular among collectors for its bright colors and funky text, both telltale signs of an early 1970s issue. The set is loaded with stars and Hall of Famers, including Pete Maravich, Oscar Robertson, and rookie cards of Rick Barry, Dave Cowens, Bob Lanier, Larry Brown, Nate Archibald, and Dan Issel. This was also the first year that Topps included cards of ABA (American Basketball Association) players. Condition is 40% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (including a few Mint), 44% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 16% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple lesser, a few that measure small, and a few with a slight trim). Five cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA.
