Presented is an outstanding near-complete master set of 1986-1987 Fleer basketball consisting of 127 different base cards (out of 132) and seven different stickers (out of 11). Missing five cards (#9 Bird, 27 Dumars, 57 Jordan, 82 Olajuwon, and 131 Worthy) and four stickers (#1 Abdul-Jabbar, 2 Bird, 4 English, and 7 Johnson) for completion. Ninety cards are graded and encapsulated by BGS. BGS Grading Composite: MINT 9 (1 card): #45. NM-MT+ 8.5 (19 cards): #13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 29, 37, 48, 56, 62, 68 K. Malone RC, 69, 93, 102, 111, 123, and 124. NM-MT 8 (16 cards): #5, 21, 46, 59, 60, 61, 67, 70, 73, 76, 90, 95, 101, 103, 105, and 118. NM+ 7.5 (18 cards): #6, 26 Drexler RC, 42, 47, 51, 52, 58, 66, 71, 79, 81, 85, 86, 87, 89, 104, 107, and 129. NM 7 (12 cards): #10, 22, 30, 41, 43, 54, 72, 78, 88, 91, 108, and 109 Thomas RC. EX-MT+ 6.5 (12 cards): #7 Barkley RC, 11, 32 Ewing RC, 35, 40, 44, 74, 75, 80, 100, 121 D. Wilkins RC, and 132 Checklist. EX-MT 6 (2 cards): #1 Abdul-Jabbar and 33. EX+ 5.5 (1 card): #2. EX 5 (1 card): #4. VG-EX 4 (1 card): #38. The condition of the 44-card unencapsulated balance is 50% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 38% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 12% Vg to Vg-Ex. Unencapsulated Keys: #31 Erving (25/75 L/R, otherwise Ex-Mt), 53 Johnson (Ex), and 77 Mullin RC (Vg-Ex). The partial sticker set consists of the following seven BGS-graded cards: EX-MT 6 (4 stickers): #6 Ewing, 9 Olajuwon, 10 Thomas, and 11 Wilkins. EX 5 (2 cards): #5 Erving and 8 Jordan. VG-EX+ 4.5 (1 card): #3. This is a superb near-complete set of this modern classic basketball issue loaded with highlights. The equivalent SMR value for just 66 of the BGS-graded cards (not including the 24 cards and stickers graded lower than NM 7 and factoring in the 37 NM-MT+ and NM+ half grades at the lower whole-grade level) is $1,490.
