Description

Graded VG 3 by SGC. Mid-grade example of one of Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Ty Cobb's most sought-after cards. The offered card has a bright yellow background, outstanding registration, and light corner wear. The reverse is lightly toned with bold green print. Light foxing is visible along the right portion of the card. The Sport Kings is one of Cobb's most popular and majestic cards. Being the No. 1 card in the set, this card gravitated to the top of a stack, exposing it to extra wear and handling, making high-grade examples even more difficult to find than most other Sport Kings and other Cobb cards. This is a very appealing example of one of Cobb's classic cards.
