Outstanding high-grade example of condition-sensitive card #1 Jackie Robinson from the popular 1953 Topps set. This card has bright colors, a crisp image, and strong corners. Clean reverse. Being the first card in the set, the 1953 Topps #1 Jackie Robinson card tended to be at the top of a stack, exposing it to much more wear than other cards and thus making high-grade examples far more difficult to find than most 1953 Topps cards and most other Robinson cards. This is a beautiful example of one of Robinson's most popular cards.
