Presented is a very attractive mid-grade complete set of fifty-two 1953 Red Man tobacco cards (all with tabs). Condition is 46% Vg (including a couple Vg-Ex), 29% Gd, and 25% Pr to Fr. Keys: #1A Stengel (Fr), 3A Berra (Gd), 3N Ashburn (Vg), 5A Fox (Gd), 5N Campanella (Gd+), 8A Kell (Fr), 10A Rizzuto (Fr), 10N Reese (Fr-Gd), 11N Roberts (Vg), 12N Schoendienst (Vg), 13N Slaughter (Vg+), 14A Wynn (Vg+), 14N Snider (Fr), 15N Kiner (Gd), 17A Lemon (Vg+), 18A Mize (Gd), 19N Spahn (Pr), 21N Wilhelm (Gd+), 23A McDougald (Pr), and 26N Musial (Vg). Red Man Tobacco cards are far rarer than most 1950s baseball cards. Because of their tabs (which were designed to be cut off) and method of issue, they often have condition problems. Many consider Red Man Tobacco to represent one of the best values of all cards from the era. Total: 52 cards.
