Description

Impressive uncut panel from the scarce 1953-1954 Briggs Meats series featuring Washington Senators pitchers Frank Shea and Chuck Stobbs. Briggs Meats were regionally issued in the Washington, D.C. area in two-card panels (one two-card panel per package of hot dogs). They are usually found with serious condition problems relating to their method of issue, including creases and hot-dog stains. The 40-card set features a dozen stars from all three New York teams and 28 players from the Washington Senators. Graded POOR 1 by SGC, the offered panel displays heavy creasing throughout. This is an exceptional uncut panel from one of the most significant of all 1950s regional issues.
