Lot # 3301: Circa 1960s to 1980s Wiffle Ball Unopened Box Collection (38) - All Player-Endorsed

Since the 1880s, baseball players have lent their images and endorsements to a wide variety of products. Offered is a tremendous collection of player-endorsed Wiffle Ball boxes, spanning from the 1960s to the 1980s, including numerous Hall of Famers and stars, highlighted by Whitey Ford (the company's first paid spokesman), Roger Maris, Eddie Mathews, Thurman Munson, Pete Rose, and Ted Williams. Other notables featured are Jerry Koosman, Jackie Jensen, Tom Tresh, Vernon Law, Tim McCarver, Lou Piniella, Rick Sutcliffe, Ron Swoboda, and Mike Scott. This lot consists of the following (organized by box size): Junior Size (6 boxes): Ford, Koosman, Munson (including Hunter disc), Rose, Swoboda, and Tresh. All but one box includes the original ball. Little League Size (4 boxes): Law, Maris, Mathews, and T. Williams (includes original manual). Each box includes original ball. Regulation Size (12 boxes): Single-Player on Lid (6): McGregor, Munson, Piniella, Rose, Scott, and Sutcliffe. Dual-Players on Lid (6): Ford/Mathews, Ford/Tresh, Law/Maris, McCarver/Swoboda, McCarver/Tresh, and Rose/Koosman. All but two boxes include the original ball. Softball Size (14 boxes): Single-Player on Lid (6): McGregor, Munson, Piniella, Rose, Scott, and Sutcliffe. Dual-Players on Lid (6): Ford/Mathews, Ford/Tresh, Law/Maris, McCarver/Swoboda, McCarver/Tresh, and Rose/Koosman. All but two boxes include the original ball. Multi-Players on Lid (2): Ford/Mathews/Jensen and Ford/Mathews/T. Williams. Each box includes original ball. There is, as is to be expected, creases and surface wear on most boxes. In addition, some boxes may also have a small tear, a price written on the lid, and/or a price sticker affixed to a panel. Condition ranges from Gd to Ex (with a couple lesser). Also included are two unopened Wiffle Ball packages, each with a paper-header at the top featuring two players (Ford/Mathews and McCarver/Tresh). Both in Fair condition.
