Collection of thirty-three different 1935 R89 "Mickey Mouse" Bubble Gum cards issued by Gum, Inc. Each card is housed in the original album (affixed with glue) and presents as Gd to Vg-Ex, including four Pr. The collection consists of the following: #3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21 "He's Sure a Handy..."w/ Walt Disney (Vg-Ex appearance from the front), 23, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 46, 47, and 48. The original "Vol. 1" album (earlier Type 1 variation) in which the cards are mounted is in Poor condition because of heavy creasing, surface wear, and writing on the front cover. Mickey Mouse Bubble Gum cards are an iconic 1930s nonsport bubble-gum card set. The brilliant colors, high-quality artwork, and popular subject matter make this set a favorite with collectors. It is worth noting that cards from this set are much scarcer than most collectors realize and far more difficult to find than most baseball cards of the era. This is a relatively affordable yet still attractive group of one of the most popular of all 1930s gum-card sets with tremendous crossover appeal to both card collectors and Mickey Mouse collectors.
