Offered is a complete 20-card set of "America's Fighting Planes" trading cards issued by Coca-Cola in 1942. This set was issued in 1942 by the Coca-Cola Company. The cards feature beautiful images of American warplanes. The backs have a brief description of the pictured airplane. Each card has been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. Several of the cards in this set have shifted back and forth in the PSA holders over the years, resulting in actual card grades not matching the PSA grades in some cases. Where there is a discrepancy, REA's grade is noted in the following grading composite. PSA Grading Composite: NM-MT+ 8.5 (3 cards): Grumman Avenger, Grumman Hellcat, and Grumman Wildcat (REA's grade is Ex-Mt). NM-MT 8 (7 cards): Bell Airacobra (REA's grade is Ex+), Consolidated Liberator (MC), Douglas Havoc (REA's grade is Ex+), Lockheed Lightning, Martin Mariner (REA's grade is Ex), Vought-Sikorsky, and Vought-Sikorsky Corsair. NM 7 (8 cards): Consolidated Catalina, Curtiss Helldriver, Curtis Warhawk (REA's grade is Ex+), Lockheed Constellation, Martin Marauder (REA's grade is Ex+), North American Invader, Republic Thunderbolt, and Vought-Sikorsky Kingfisher. EX-MT 6 (2 cards): Boeing Fortress and North American Mitchell. Total: 20 cards. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
