Lot # 2807: 1910-1911 T80 "Military Series" Near-Complete Set (49/50)

Presented is a near-complete set (49 out of 50) of T80 "Military Series," missing only "Scottish Rifles Piper England" for completion. Issued with five different tobacco brands between 1910 and 1911, each card features a beautifully rendered multi-color illustration of military men from around the world. This is an attractive set, presenting with bright colors and crisp images throughout. The condition of the set is 18% Vg-Ex, 61% Gd to Vg, and 21% Pr to Fr. A few cards are factory small. Included are two duplicates in Poor condition. Forty-eight of the fifty-one cards have a Tolstoi advertising reverse while the other three feature a rare Lenox reverse. This is a bright and attractive near-complete set (minus one) of this popular 1910-era nonsport issue. Total: 51 cards (near set of 49 plus two duplicates).
