Collection of 24 single-signed baseballs consisting exclusively of former New York Giants players from the 1954 World Series Championship roster (who were not on the 1951 team). This collection is highlighted by Hoyt Wilhelm, Joe Garagiola, and many other tough-to-find signees. Unless otherwise noted, all the signatures appear on the sweet spot of an official Major or National League baseball (except for one American League and four non-Official balls) dating from the 1980s or later. The signatures have been scripted in a variety of inks. Four of the offered baseballs have full JSA LOAs while fourteen others have basic individual authentication from JSA or PSA/DNA. Most of the balls have varying degrees of age toning. Otherwise all are in Excellent to Mint or better condition overall. In this auction we are offering two other New York Giants signed baseball collections, one from the 1951 NL Championship roster and one from various years spanning the 1950s. This collection consists of the following: Joe Amalfitano, Johnny Antonelli ("2x20 1954 21-7 2.30 ERA, 1956 20-13 2.86 ERA"), Foster Castleman ("1954 World Series Champions, New York Giants"), Hoot Evers, Joe Garagiola, Bill Gardner, Harvey Gentry, Paul Giel, Ruben Gomez, Marv Grissom, Bobby Hofman, Ray Katt, Bob Lennon, Don Liddle, John McCall, Ramon Monzant, Mario "Babe" Picone (side panel), Dusty Rhodes ("1954 WS MVP, Babe Ruth Award NY Giants #26"), Eric Rodin, Ron Samford, Ebba St. Claire, Bill Taylor, Hoyt Wilhelm, and Al Worthington. Total: 24 signed baseballs. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
