Presented is a very attractive mid- to high-grade complete set of 1977 Topps "Star Wars" (330 cards and 55 stickers). These full-color cards feature scenes from the popular movie on the front, with a description of the scene on the reverse. A total of 33 cards and 19 stickers have been graded and encapsulated by PSA. This collection consists of the following: 1) Complete Base Set (330): PSA Grading Composite: MINT 9 (2 cards): #193 and 198. NM-MT 8 (18 cards): #2, 17, 84, 85, 92, 104, 110, 113, 137, 143, 171, 188, 190, 207, 214, 255, 260, and 321. NM 7 (6 cards): #14, 169, 211, 237, 243, and 246. EX-MT 6 (3 cards): #51, 53, and 60. EX 5 (2 cards): #19 and 44. VG-EX 4 (2 cards): #30 and 45. The condition of the 56 unencapsulated Series 1 cards is 66% Vg-Ex to Ex (including a few better) and 34% Gd to Vg (including one lesser). The condition of the 241-card balance of Series 2-5 cards is 20% Nr/Mt or better, 55% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 25% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a couple lesser, a couple with color added, and one that measures small). Unencapsulated Key: #1 Luke Skywalker (Pr due to pinholes). 2) Complete Sticker Set (55): PSA Grading Composite: EX-MT 6 (4 cards): #11, 13, 15, and 28. EX 5 (7 cards): #4, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, and 22. VG-EX 4 (7 cards): #1 Luke Skywalker, 10, 18, 31, 37, 43, and 52. GOOD 2 (1 card): #8. The condition of the 36 unencapsulated stickers ranges from Vg-Ex to Nr/Mt (averaging Ex/Ex-Mt). Star Wars is one of the few movies of the 1970s to survive with its popularity intact, and if anything, it enjoys even greater popularity today.
