Presented is an extremely rare, complete, original unopened wax box of 1971 Topps football. The box houses 24 packs with each pack containing 10 cards for a total of 240 cards. This is a first-series box (#1-132), a series that includes Johnny Unitas, Dick Butkus, Willie Lanier (rookie), Mel Renfro, Lance Alworth as well as numerous other stars and Hall of Famers. This is the first unopened wax box from this series that we have offered in the past 22 years! This is a particularly significant year for an unopened wax box, as cards from 1971 Topps football are naturally very difficult to find in high grade due to their easily damaged color-border design. The box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The display box has survived in outstanding condition with bright colors and minor shelf wear visible, including the perforated portion of the lid pushed in a bit. This is a stunning, complete, unopened wax box.
