Graded EX 60 by SGC. This is one of only three examples graded at this level by SGC with none higher! Incredible high-grade card of New York Giants Hall of Fame pitcher Christy Mathewson, one of the key cards from the extremely rare M110 Sporting Life cabinet set issued in 1911. Each card in the M110 set features beautiful full-color pastel artwork on the front and advertising for Sporting Life on the reverse. M110s are similar in design to, but far rarer than, the contemporary T3 Turkey Red cabinets. This is one of the rarest and most beautiful of all Christy Mathewson cards. The offered card is bright and crisp with a superb image of Mathewson in a pitching pose. Downgraded due to light corner wear. The back has a boldly printed advertisement for Sporting Life. This is a stunning high-grade example of one of the most striking and rarest of all Christy Mathewson cards. Dimensions: 5-5/8 x 7-1/2 inches.
