Presented is a very attractive mid- to high-grade complete set of 1969-1970 Topps basketball, highlighted by numerous stars and key rookie cards, including Hall of Famers John Havlicek and Lew Alcindor. This 99-card set represents Topps' first large-scale basketball effort in over a decade (since its first issue in 1957), and it is extremely popular with collectors due to its size, design, and star selection. Condition is 17% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 68% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 15% Gd to Vg (including one Fr). Two cards have been professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #1 Chamberlain (Pr-Fr), 2 Goodrich RC (Vg+), 10 Thurmond RC (Vg-Ex), 15 Hawkins RC (Vg), 20 Havlicek RC (Ex-Mt), 25 Alcindor RC (VG 3), 35 Baylor (Vg+), 40 Cunningham RC (Ex), 43 Bradley RC (Nr/Mt), 44 Wilkens (Ex), 45 Lucas RC (75/25 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt), 50 Robertson (Ex), 55 Bing RC (Vg-Ex+), 56 Unseld RC (Vg-Ex), 60 Reed RC (Vg-Ex), 75 Hayes RC (EX 5), 80 Monroe RC (Vg-Ex), 85 DeBusschere RC (Vg-Ex), 90 West (Vg-Ex), 98 Frazier RC (Vg-Ex+), and 99 Checklist (Vg+). This is a very attractive complete set of this significant and popular early Topps basketball issue. Total: 99 cards.
