Description

Graded EX 5 (MK) by PSA. Beautiful mid-grade example of Jackie Robinson (batting, white sleeves pose) from the circa 1947 Bond Bread set. The 13-card set is devoted entirely to Jackie Robinson and features the Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer in various black-and-white poses on glossy card stock. This recently graded example is bright and crisp with superb image quality and light corner wear. The back — which bears Robinson's facsimile signature and the tagline "Folks, why not eat the bread that Jackie eats?" — is boldly printed. There is a pencil mark visible on the reverse, hence the "MK" qualifier. The circa 1947 Bond Bread issue is a historic set, dating from Jackie Robinson's earliest days in the major leagues, and individual cards from this classic issue will always be extremely desirable.
