Description

Graded EX 5 by PSA. Beautiful mid-grade example of Jackie Robinson (running to catch ball pose) from the circa 1947 Bond Bread set. The 13-card set is devoted entirely to Jackie Robinson and features the Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer in various black-and-white poses on glossy card stock. (Please note we are offering each card from the set individually in this current auction.) This example is bright and crisp with a bold image and light corner wear (weaker top left). The back, which features an image of Robinson alongside a testimonial for Bond Bread as well as advertising for the company, is boldly printed. The circa 1947 Bond Bread issue is a historic set, dating from Jackie Robinson's earliest days in the major leagues, and individual cards from this classic issue will always be extremely desirable.
