Graded EX 5 by PSA. Beautiful mid-grade example of Jackie Robinson (leaping, scoreboard in background pose) from the circa 1947 Bond Bread set. The 13-card set is devoted entirely to Jackie Robinson and features the Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer in various black-and-white poses on glossy card stock. (Please note we are offering each card from the set individually in this current auction.) This example is bright and crisp with superb image quality and light corner wear. The back, which features an image of Robinson alongside a testimonial for Bond Bread as well as advertising for the company, is boldly printed. The circa 1947 Bond Bread issue is a historic set, dating from Jackie Robinson's earliest days in the major leagues, and individual cards from this classic issue will always be extremely desirable.
