Lot # 30: 1909-1911 T206 White Border Nap Lajoie with Bat PSA EX 5 - Polar Bear Back - Highest Graded!

Graded EX 5 by PSA. One of five examples of this front/back combination graded at this level by PSA with none higher. Beautiful example of one of the three classic poses of Hall of Fame second baseman Nap Lajoie from the T206 White Borders series. In addition to its high grade, the offered example boasts a desirable Polar Bear advertising reverse. The high grade of this Polar Bear card is of special note. T206 cards issued with Polar Bear tobacco were not well protected from the accompanying product, which is why T206 cards with Polar Bear advertising reverses almost always have various condition problems, including tobacco staining. This card has brilliant colors, outstanding registration, and light corner wear. Boldly printed Polar Bear advertisement on the reverse, displaying a few tiny tobacco stains. This is an outstanding rarity featuring Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie from the classic T206 set, which would be an extremely significant highlight in even the most advanced T206 or rare-back collection.
